Contrary to 2009 announcement PASC Inc. has booked the Fairfield Showground to host the PASC Inc. 22 nd Grand Philippine Sydney Fiesta Kultura for the second time due to public demand. In 2011 this event will revert to Labour Long Weekend when the long time German community Octoberfest will stop operation after 40 years at the Showground. Many changes will occur to this year undercover area set-up. The area will be divided in three section where staging / entertainment / crowd seats; corporate & dry goods exhibits and the Filipino Int’l Food festival will be stationed. Those people who ventured homage to this event last year will witness its new welcoming atmosphere since the main stage will be moved to the entrance end which is the opposite in 2009. Last year staging area will be the Food Exhibition section. Additional public entertainment flatform stage will be positioned at the Food Area to entertain the eating public with our Pinoy youthful talents. For the first time Juego Anillo, a bicycle skilful contest will be presented at the venue for active and sporty enthusiasts. Along with this junior soccer gala exhibition in the oval will likewise take place. Should there be more participants chess and billiard areas are catered for. Young ones can enjoy the latest amusement rides in the area. Early series of meetings first last March 2010 with trade and food exhibitors especially our food stall holders to maintain good preparation, safety aspects and improved Filipino quality cuisine standard to satisfy Fairfield Council requirements have been organized. When quota is met no late comers will be entertained. To cater for more quality food stalls rental cost has been reduced. Stage entertainment will be pre-auditioned to cater imported artists who were contracted by corporate sponsors with their owned entertainers for their corporate special numbers. At this stage Manila communications tycoon Globe Telecom & Go Talk has signed Billy Crawford and Tuesday Vargas to entertain the crowd similarly to their popular numbers in the past. We are confirming from other corporate sponsors for their imported artists which will happen in due time. Door tickets have been pegged at $15 per adult pre-sold and $20 at the entrance. No family tickets will be offered since this practice in the past has been abused. The long running Miss Philippines – Australia will be in the finale. PASC Inc. is cordially inviting girls ages 16 to 25 to join. The candidates will be presented at the PASC Sports Award dinner on Sunday 29 th August 2010 at Bankstown Trotting & Recreation Club, Condell Park. Since 1989 the Sydney Fiesta organizations has been supporting various selected charities both in the Philippines and Australia. Latest to this program is delivering numerous good used medical and dental equipment have been donated to various medical clinics in the Philippines.
